Terms of Service

YourDrive is proprietary, self-hosted software. You install and run it on your own server, connected to storage you choose. Your use of the software is governed by the YourDrive License, included with it:

• Community: free for up to 3 users per installation, with no license key.
• Team and Business: more users and the paid features, with a license key. These features are also covered by the YourDrive Commercial License included with them.

If these terms and those licenses disagree about how you may use the software, the licenses apply. YourDrive includes open-source components under their own licenses.

• Team: $119 per server, per year, for up to 25 users, with the Team features listed on the pricing page.
• Business: $599 per server, per year, for up to 250 users, with the Business features listed on the pricing page once Business goes on sale.
• Enterprise: more than 250 users, priced in a written agreement with you.

A license covers one server: one installation of YourDrive, with up to the number of users of its plan (or the number in your license key). Prices are in US dollars and don't include taxes, which are added at checkout where they apply. We only promise the features that are listed as available today; anything described as planned may change or not ship.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Licenses are yearly subscriptions that renew automatically each year at the then-current price until you cancel. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a renewal if the price is going up.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal link in your receipts, or by emailing billing@yourdriveapp.com. Canceling stops future renewals; your license keeps working until the end of the year you paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

• After payment, we email you a license key, normally within one business day. You paste it into your server's License page.
• A key is checked on your server, offline. It never contacts us.
• Each key is valid for the year you paid for plus 14 days of grace. When your subscription renews, we send a new key.
• If a key isn't renewed, the server goes back to the Community plan when it ends. Nothing is deleted: files, users and shared links stay, though Team features stop and upload requests pause.
• Keep your key private. Don't share, resell or publish it, and don't modify the software to get around the license check. We may refuse to renew a license that's been misused.

YourDrive runs on your infrastructure. Your files, users and settings stay on your server and in your storage; we don't host, see or process them. You're responsible for your server, your storage costs, backups, security updates, the content you store and share, and any laws that apply to it. See the Privacy Policy for the little data we do handle.

Team includes email support and Business includes priority email support, at support@yourdriveapp.com. We answer as quickly as we can, but we don't guarantee response or resolution times. An active license includes every update we release while it's active. We may change, add or remove features over time.

YourDrive and the website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the software will be error-free or that it will never lose data, so keep your own backups.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim about YourDrive, the website or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived by contract.

You can stop at any time by canceling and uninstalling. If you break these terms or the Commercial License, we may end your license and refuse renewals. Sections 5, 7, 8 and 10 keep applying after these terms end.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both sides agree to their jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you keep any protections your local law gives you.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we'll email license holders before they take effect. Continuing to use a license after that means you accept the new terms.
