YourDrive is self-hosted, so most of your data never reaches us. This policy explains the little we do handle: what you give us when you buy a license or contact us. Evolution Tech Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company, is responsible for it.
What we never see
Your files, folders, photos, videos, users, shared links and settings live on your server and in your own storage. YourDrive doesn't send them to us, and it has no telemetry or analytics. License keys are checked on your server, offline, without contacting us. If you run YourDrive for other people, you're responsible for their data, not us.
The website
yourdriveapp.com has no analytics, no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party trackers. Fonts are served from our own site. Like any website, our hosting keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, the page requested, time) to keep the site secure and working; we keep them only as long as needed for that.
What we collect, and why
- When you buy a license: your name, email, billing address and country, your organization's name and tax ID if you give them, and your order history. Stripe processes the payment; we never see or store your full card number. We use this to take payment, calculate tax, send receipts and keys, and keep the records tax law requires.
- Your license key: it contains the name and email you bought with, the plan and its dates. We keep a record of keys we issue so we can resend or renew them.
- When you email us: your address and what you write, so we can reply and help.
If you're in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders, keys, support), legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and our legitimate interest in answering messages and preventing fraud.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with services that help us run the business:
- Stripe, for payments, tax calculation, invoices and the billing portal
- Our email provider, to send keys and answer messages
- Our hosting provider, which runs the website
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.
Where it's stored
We're based in the United States, and so are our main providers. If you're outside the US, your data is transferred there, with the safeguards those providers offer (such as standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep it
Order, invoice and tax records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 7 years. License key records: while your license is active, and with your order records after that. Support emails: as long as they're useful for helping you, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can also object to how we use it. Some records we have to keep for tax law even if you ask us to delete them. Email legal@yourdriveapp.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Children
YourDrive licenses are sold to adults and organizations. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes
If YourDrive ever adds anything that sends data to us (for example an optional, off-by-default update check), we'll update this policy first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
